Kathmandu - Patan - Bhaktapur - Nagarkot - Paro - Thimpu
Upon the arrival in Kathmandu airport, our representatives will receive you. And transfer to hotel. After refreshment, you will get the briefing on your tour packages followed by dinner.
After breakfast, our guide leads you to the historical heritage sites of Kathmandu that includes Kathmandu Durbar Square Area, Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa, which are the major attraction of Nepal.
On the third day, you will lead to Swyambhunath (Monkey Temple), ancient Patan and Bhaktapur city. The Bhaktapur is the open museum in itself. After the tour, you will go to Nagarkot for night stay.
In the early morning, you will see the mesmerizing sunrise from your own hotel. Then after breakfast, you will go for trekking in Nagarkot village. After lunch, you will drive back to PanchaMahalaxmi temple, Sankhu, and Kathmandu.
Kathmandu has multiple layers to explore. On the fifth day, you will have the entire day exploring Kathmandu, its hidden treasures, casino, local cuisines, art, and architectures, shopping as per your choice followed by farewell dinner.
Our representative will transfer you to the airport for Bhutan. On arrival at the airport, our representative will receive you and transfer to the Thimphu for overnight stay.
After breakfast Thimphu sightseeing, we will visit Trashichhodzong, the beautiful medieval fortress/monastery which houses most of the Government's office and King's Throne room It is also the summer residence of Je Khenpo, the Chief Abbot. Then visit National Library, which has the vast collection of ancient Buddhist texts and manuscripts. After that drive to Painting School, famous for traditional Thangka Paintings. Here you will see, students at work producing the intricate design on cloth. Also, visit Traditional Medicine Institute is worthwhile where centuries old healing arts still practiced. Later visit Textile and Folk Heritage Museum, a fascinating testimony of the Bhutanese material culture and living traditions. After lunch drive to Paro with a short stop at Dochula pass. Later en route visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress of the Kingdom built in 1627, it now houses the School for Buddhist studies. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.
After breakfast visit Ta Dzong, the National Museum of the Kingdom. Originally built as Watch Tower since 1967 it is acting as the National Museum of the country and holding the fascinating collection of art, artifacts, thangkha paintings and Bhutan's exquisite postage stamps. Then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, which has a long and fascinating history. After lunch drive north of Paro valley to ruins of Drukgyel Dzong. From this fort, Bhutanese repelled several invasion by Tibetan armies. Nearby visit traditional Bhutanese Farm House which offers good insight into the lifestyle of local people. While the return to Paro town visits en route Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of the Kingdom. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.
After breakfast start the walk from the hotel to Jambay Lhakhang (Lhakhang means temple) and continue to Kurjey Lhakhang. After Kurjey, you will cross the suspension bridge over to Tamshing Lhakhang. Continue walking to the Swiss farm and then on to the main town area. The vehicle will meet you at this point and drive you to visit other sights in and around Jakar; which may include homeopathic hospital, the cheese factory, the castle of the 'White Bird', perhaps one or two local temples and a walk around to visit woodcraft workshop, dying workshop, and the five waterwheels behind Wangdicholing Old Palace. Overnight at Guest House, Jakar.
After breakfast drive to the airport for flight to onward destination.
